How to Make Learning Visual

Spatial intelligence is one of the nine intelligences on Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, each of which is composed of a number of separate sub capacities. An intelligence provides the ability to solve problem or create products. To be happy in learning students need to use all intelligences. But now let’s speak about some of them that are, in my opinion, the most important in studying foreign language.
As an example let’s see some tasks for SMART Board which I use in my lessons.

The task for irregular verbs.

      I use this visual task to help students to deal with a large amount of information offered for learning, working as several types of memory: visual, motor, tactile, and auditory when pronouncing words.
 Emotional type of memory connected, if I add the entertaining element (in this case a mystery) in the next type of exercises.

For students with the prevailing logical-mathematical type of intelligence and if they need the visualization I  use the next types of tasks:

 1. The planning of activities in the classroom,

2. Structuring grammatical material,

3. Heuristic approach to the study of the rules, etc..

In my opinion visualization of tasks help students:

- Contribute to the development of imagination and fantasy;
- To identify the nature of individual perception and processing of educational information;
- Create the necessary learning attitude;
- Awaken positive feelings;
- To strengthen or weaken certain emotional effects, or the child's condition, reduce stress, alleviate feelings; to inspire confidence;
- To help transform the image corresponding to the role entrusted to him; to help adapt to new conditions;
- To focus on something important; shift the focus to another object;
- Develop the capacity for analysis and comparison;
- To organize the training of care and observation;
- The ability to draw conclusions form and logical reasoning.
